Request Coordinator

Established in 1993, Interpreting New Zealand is a not-for-profit that provides a voice for refugees and immigrants where English is a second or third language, enabling them to effectively access mainstream community services such as doctor's appointments, legal consultation and school visits. With around 250 interpreters covering 70 different languages.

 

Interpreting New Zealand is recognised as a quality interpreting provider-of-choice, offering interpreting services onsite, by phone and video, and 24/7

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, people orientated individual to join our team of Request Coordinators.

 

To succeed in this role you will have the following:

 

Customer service background

A ‘can do’ attitude and calm nature

Excellent communication, listening and reasoning skills

Strong computer skills

Good at multitasking

Drive and energy to give the best customer service on each call

Great sense of humor

You will need to have a very good level of English and, ideally, have some knowledge of interpreting and the importance of using trained interpreters. Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful applicant.

 

This is a permanent full time position (75 hours per fortnight).

 

We offer a 9 day fortnight as well as 2 days working from home after training.
