Last Friday, May 17th, Interpreting New Zealand was honoured to host the MH101 - Mental Health workshop in collaboration with BluePrint for Learning.
Our dedicated interpreters and office staff had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of mental well-being and mental health challenges. The session provided invaluable insights into how Te Whare Tapa Whā supports holistic well-being, shared experiences of individuals facing mental health challenges, and taught supportive responses to mental distress—especially important for our interpreters who often handle sensitive assignments.
A huge thank you to Blueprint for Learning and the wonderful facilitators Simmi and Kristy for delivering such a meaningful workshop. We also extend our gratitude to all our interpreters and office staff who attended, and to the Ministry of Health for making this workshop possible.
Thank you for fostering a healthier and more supportive environment for all.
